Spring 2010: $4500 per person plus tuition at ASU. Fall 2010: $4575 per person plus tuition at ASU. Program price is tentative, depending on fluctuating currency exchange. Students may take nine or twelve semester hours, and tuition rates are posted on the ASU web page. The price includes health insurance, books, housing & three daily meals in Salamanca , hotels, excursions, and museum entrances in Toledo , Segovia , Avila , El Escorial, Seville and Granada . It does not cover airfare, laundry, transportation from Madrid to Salamanca or Salamanca to Barcelona , meals on excursions, or personal spending money. Students live within a mile and a half radius of the center of town, so they can easily walk. Optional excursions to Portugal and other cities are available at an extra cost.Non-residents of Georgia add $250.00 out-of-state fees. Scholarships for Georgia Residents: For Study Abroad Scholarships, check with the study abroad office at your home institution. HOPE scholarships can be used towards the cost of the program, but require special procedures; check with your study abroad office on how to proceed. Institutional scholarships for study abroad programs may be available on your campus. Students enrolled in this program will take a placement test on the first day of class to determine intermediate or advanced language proficiency. Classes are offered in grammar, conversation & composition, literature, history, art, communication & creative writing, culture, business, the role of women in Spanish history, the Arab world in Hispanic culture, and Spanish & Spanish American cinema.
