“We never know how high we are Graduate Study

English majors who are considering high school or college teaching, law, medicine, the ministry, or writing in a particular field should plan for graduate school with their advisors. Recent past graduates of ASU with a B.A. in English have attended graduate school at  University of Georgia, New York University, Clemson University, University of Florida, SUNY Binghamton, and University of Essex in the U.K.

Early each fall semester English faculty hold a workshop for juniors and seniors interested in graduate school to discuss major courses necessary for the Graduate Records Exams, strategies for preparing for the exam and for applying to graduate school.  Contact Dr. Ted Atkinson or Dr. Christina Heckman for more information.

The Department of English and Foreign Languages offers graduate courses in English as subject courses in support of the Master of Education with a Concentration in English and the Master of Arts in Education.  For further information in this department, contact Dr. Mary McCormack.  For further information about the Augusta State University College of Education, go here
